OWSLA & Poplife Presents Good Times Miami

OWSLA & Poplife Presents Good Times Miami

OWSLA and Poplife are throwing an event that is quite possibly the most unique WMC/MMW party next week.

Because your favorite DJs will be playing back to back with their buds.

“Yeah, but back-to-back sets aren’t anything new.”

Shut up and let me finish.

Yeah, back-to-back sets aren’t a new thing. But when all of the DJs will be playing back to back, and all of the DJs are high caliber, and most of these b2b sets consists of DJs that you would never have imagined playing back to back with each other, that’s different.

The caliber of these guys are so high that you see most of them headline festivals on the regular.

Peep some tunes by the artists and read on.

Over the course of two days (yes, two), OWSLA and Poplife will be taking over the Wynwood area. We say area because all it says on the flyer is “NW 24 St & NW 2nd Ave.” So unless they are literally using an intersection, it’s safe to assume that this event has block party status written all over it.

Among the craziness is A-Trak b2b Craze. These two guys aren’t only buds, but former DMC World DJ Champions. In english, that means they are two guys that are nothing short of sick on the decks. Expect to see a few gold turntables during this set, as both are well-known for using these trophies (DMC champions are given these as prizes) during their sets. Bling bling motherfucker.

Another back-to-back set that has us going nuts is Amtrac and Jack Beats. With Amtrac known for the smooth, disco-esque feel in his music and Jack Beats for the unique, crazy sound they’ve developed over the years, this set should be nothing short of a melting pot of vibes and craziness. Talk about worlds colliding.

Now lets talk about Boys Noize b2b Brodinski and Skrillex b2b What So Not. The thing to note about these two sets is that each is accompanied by MCs on the mic: Spank Rock with Boys Noize and ‘dinski; and Chance The Rapper with Skrilly and What So Not. Honestly, we can’t even comprehend what these sets will be like, so we’ll just have to see for ourselves.

And, of course, there is Mercer and FWP favorite Tchami. With Tchami’s unique take on, well, anything he touches and Mercer’s massive catalog of straight bangers, we’ll be in for a wild ride of god-knows what during this set. I mean, hell, when two French producers go at it, only awesomeness can come out.

And now we have the question marks. Who could these be? If you look at your screen at a certain angle, you can kinda make something out, but let’s keep the surprises surprises!
