The Polish Ambassador With Machines Are People Too Live In Gainesville
Jump suits and glitch breaks. Dances moves and bass quakes. This means The Polish Ambassador is in town, delegating his funky sounds on April 11 at Double Down Live as part of his “RemixUrFace Tour!”
This glitchin’ machine, hailing from Oakland, Ca., produces a progressive set of original mixes using classic synths to produce an unorthodox style of funky break beats. Lucky you, The Polish Ambassador is giving away his whole seven-hour discography for free. Grab that shit for a taste of what’s to come.
But that’s not all. Make sure to get your ass out the door and hit the venue early, because Gainesville’s banginest hoodfest riot Parker Robinson is throwing down a massive opening set with support from partner in crime MC Masson Rager.
And there’s yet more to look forward to, as indie-dance-pop trio Machines Are People Too, from Chattanooga, Tenn., will be joining The Polish Ambassador for his two Florida shows in Gainesville and Orlando.
Tickets are on sale for $12. Certainly a sweet deal. But heads up, if you’re under 21, the venue has an up-charge of $2 at the door, so remember to bring your ID!
