Orange You Glad Festival

Orange You Glad Festival

Whoever said Orlando has nothing going for it other than theme parks obviously isn’t aware of the upcoming Orange You Glad Music Festival.

The festival returns for it’s second year and promises an even better line-up than before.  With over 60 national and local acts, ranging from the ethereal electro sounds of Grimes all the way to the found footage project that is Everything Is Terrible.

The festival takes place in a different neighborhood of Orlando each night, allowing the audience to explore the different venues Orlando has to offer. Local vendors and of course some of Orlando’s best Food Trucks will be around as well.

Weekend passes are just $30 until Thursday morning. After that, individual day passes will be available. The festival begins March 7th, with a pre-party featuring Grimes, and goes ’till Sunday night.

Check out these music videos showcasing the music and visuals of just a fraction of the amazing talent on display over the weekend.

Everything is Terrible is going to use Thursday night in the Mills 50 neighborhood to showcase their latest creation –  a remake of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Holy Mountain using only found vhs clips of dogs. This all goes down at Will’s Pub starting at 8 p.m.

Cults will be playing in the Milk District at The Plaza Theater on Friday night.

Saturday will bring about Gainesville’s own Hear Hums playing at the Peacock Room in the Mills 50 neighborhood as a part of the Tiny Waves showcase.

Sunday closes out Orange You Glad with Tennis playing in the parking lot of Park Ave cd’s in the Audubon Park neighborhood.

The diverse line-up of acts coupled with the ability to explore everything this beautiful city has to offer is simply an experience that should not be missed.
