David Koma: Form And Futurism

You already know how we feel about the future. Namely; IT IS NOW! We’re completely obsessed, and clothing that mirrors our love of futurism with big geometry, angles and edginess always grabs our attention.

Today, we’re introducing you to a young Georgian designer based out of London – David Koma. Though he’s a youngster at 25, he’s already received numerous accolades for his forward-thinking designs. In 2009, he graduated with distinction from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, winning the Harrod’s Design Award for his graduate collection.

His work is consistently featured in London and Paris Fashion Week and has attracted the eye of big fashion celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more. He’s totally got our attention. Here’s what his website bio has to say about his stylistic approach:

Koma’s fascination with the female form has resulted in a consistent body concsious theme, creating strong, architectural shapes, evoking empowerment to the wearer. [/box]
