Paint Sound Sculptures

Paint Sound Sculptures

This is what sound looks like when it’s painted. This project was put together by the design studio Dentsu and the photographer Linden Gledhill to help advertise for Canon Pixma Printers.

They achieved these images using a small speaker with a thin membrane stretched over its surface. Using high speed video cameras and a DSLR, they captured what you see here. Different sounds and pitches were experimented with while it was photographed from all angles. A psychedelically colorful view at what  sound looks like? Wet Paint is into it.
