DirtyBird BASS EP

DirtyBird Bass EP art

DirtyBird Bass EP artDirtyBird is nothing new to most DJs and tech house junkies alike. The label puts out catchy, funky tunes with deep sub bass and a plethora of weird noises and pops. Some of the biggest artists on the label include Claude Von Stroke, the Martin Brothers (Christian and Justin) and Julio Bashmore.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with tech house or “the dirtybird sound,” this is the type of music you to want to hear at the beginning/end of the night. I pretty much can’t stand to listen to anything else after 4 a.m. It’s catchy enough to keep you interested, but not enough to keep you dancing straight through for hours.

With their latest release BASS, you get some fresh tracks that really showcase the talent of the label. Up first is My Sneakers by B-Ju. Its bounce factor is undeniable and is sure to get even the wallflowers swaying. Sick bass lines, glitchy pops and a nice sample touting everyone’s favorite fashion accessories.

Next up is Um Bongos Revenge by Julio Bashmore. A trippy, dark journey filled with bongos of course. Slow and driving, with tablas gltiching in the background. I picture this song smack in the middle of a mix, riding with a ghetto tech sample. Enjoy this one!

You can buy/listen to the whole EP here.

Here is a direct link to download the exclusive mix which features all the songs on the EP by J Philp, who also has her own release on the EP.
