Flavio Melchiorre’s Illustrations Of The West
Dense and distracted. That’s how I would describe Italian illustrator Flavio Melchiorre’s colorful illustrations. Melchiorre’s interpretation of western imagery is to undo the seperation between points of interest, and the results are breathtaking in their scope and hypnotic to look at. From his own website, Melchiorre has this to say:
“In the western way of thinking things are separated from one another; but if we stop and observe how life works and flows, we’ll notice how the whole universe is made up of complementaries, how each single element of life gains a shape when linked to its unique context and then evolves in something more and more complex.”
Deep bro, deep.
