Meet Dillon Francis
If you knew how much bad music one had to listen before finding the gold, you probably wouldn’t do it. Hell, the mainstream already listens to hours and hours of bad music via the radio, only to hear that one song of the moment. When I go digging for tracks, I find lots of garbage, but the reason why I do it, and the reason why I blog, is for moments like this, when I can bring you an up-and-coming artist making absolute fire.
Meet Dillon Francis. Part dubstep. Part electro. All party. He reps L.A, no suprise there as one of his biggest bangers “Westside” is a throwback to classic ravy synth, deep, heavy bass and tribal riddims. I absolutely love this tune!
For the dub side of things, check out “Money Shot” or his rinse of “Like a G6“. Both are guaranteed to get a floor head-noddin and fist-pumping. My personal favorite tune is his collaboration with Dirt Nasty, entitled “Sandwiches“. This song has been a staple in my sets, with its funky bassline and chock full of sexual innuedo. Just the way I like it. DF best describes his style with “Daft Punk is all about making love, and I’m all about fucking.”
