Ludachrist logoLudachrist is the savior of the Mash-up genre.¬† The east-west collaboration between Knick of Evol Intent (Los Angeles) and Dr. Ray Boardman M.D. aka Ewun (Rochester, NY) began in 2007 to produce one heck of a Mash-up album–download. This is what Girl Talk would sound like if he grew some balls. Slammin’ drums, glitched out vocals, with a touch of old school, electro, drum-n-bass, and all around crunkness. Can’t believe nobody turned me on to this earlier. So, Please for the love of god download this now, and support these dudes when they come to your town.

If you’re lucky enough to be at SXSW, they will be playing at Barcelona.

I first heard about these dudes on Hypem, with the release¬† of “Pon De Foley,” which reworks Major Lazer’s “Pon de Floor” as Axel Foley takes it back to the Beverly Hills Cop days.¬† A must have remix.

The mix is the real highlight. It has been out awhile, but if you like technical production and meticulous attention to detail it will quickly become one of your mixes in heavy rotation. The other two tracks are the single songs taken off the mixtape.
